Joshua Tree National Park Elopement Photos and Timeline

What does a full day elopement actually look like?

As an elopement photographer, I get this question a lot. Some couples have no idea what they can do on their elopement day besides a quick ceremony. So I thought it would be helpful to show just how much you can actually do in a 8-10 hour window of photo coverage.

Here is Helen & Phil’s REAL timeline that I made for their elopement day in Joshua Tree!

  • 11:30am: Hair and makeup begins for bride

  • 12:30: Groom starts getting ready

  • 1:30pm: Hair and makeup finished, final touches of getting ready

  • 2:30-5:30: Portrait time inside JTNP (choose couple's top 2-3 spots)

  • 6:00: Vow exchange ceremony

  • 6:30: Sunset, "getaway" photos with rental car

  • 7:00-8:30: Break for dinner

  • 8:30-9:30: Astrophotos

  • 9:30: You're married!

Here are the amazing vendors who made this day possible for this sweet couple:
